Global Brands is building on Domino’s
Global Brands, the exclusive master franchisee for Domino’s Pizza in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Liechtenstein, will further test investors’ appetite for the restaurant sector when it floats on Aim in the hope of raising up to £3.5m.
The company, which operates seven stores with a turnover of more than SFr 7.3m (£3.2m), said that it planned to open at least 23 more outlets in the region within the next three years. Domino’s Pizza, a leading world pizza delivery brand with 78O0 stores in 50 countries, is the only global brand in the home delivery sector in Switzerland.
“Home delivery is the fastest growing segment in the Swiss consumer fast food sector, said Yossi Moldawsky, Global Brand executive chairman. Our aim is to be present in most major cities in Switzerland by the end of 2007”
Mr Moldawsky added that Global Brands were in discussions with Domino’s Pizza International about obtaining exclusive master franchises in other regions and with other global food brands that have no current presence in Switzerland and Luxembourg. This comes in the wake of the recent resurgence of activity in the restaurant sector.
La Tasca, which operates a chain of Spanish restaurants, has seen its shares rise more than 10 per cent to 122p since the group listed on Aim In February.
Carluccio’s, the restaurant group founded by Antonio Carluccio, is considering a £50m IPO, and Loch Fyne Restaurants has launched a strategic review that could value the fish restaurant chain at £35m.
