Gefen Cardiac Health Center inaugurated

In a gala ceremony held this week at Moldawsky Building on Korazin Street in Givatayim, the Gefen Cardiac Health Center was inaugurated. The Center is to serve heart patients from Ramat Gan and Givatayim.

The Institute was established with the assistance of the Friends of the Cardiac Center Society of Givatayim, headed by Yitzhak Khan. Khan related this week that in 1994, during his term as president of the city's Rotary Club, club members began organizing donation drives in Ramat Gan and Givatayim in order to purchase equipment for the Institute. That equipment was then turned over to the Center's operators, headed by Professor Eliezer Kleiman, formerly head of Clalit Health Services Institute of Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation. Participating in this week's ceremony were Givatayim mayor Efie Shenzler, Ramat Gan mayor Zvi Bar, and senior officials of both cities.
